If you change the dialup phone number in the Connect To window, it will only change for that one use. To change it permanently, you need to change it in the Properties of the connection.

Open the Dial-Up Networking folder in My Computer and right-click on the exit109 connection icon. Select Properties from the pop-up menu. Changing the phone number on this window will change it permanently.
