This will show you how to configure WindowsNT for dialup access into the exit109 Internet Service. If you have any problems or comments regarding these directions, please send them to admin@exit109.com

I. Create a Phonebook Entry

    Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, then double-click on Dial-Up Networking. Click on New to create a new phonebook entry.


II. Phonebook Entry
    A. Basic
    Entry Name: exit109
    Comment: Atlantic Internet
    Phone Number:
    758-1975 (Red Bank)
    505-0221 (Toms River)
    449-2015 (Spring Lake)
    446-1807 (Englishtown)
    Dial Using: (your modem should be here)
    Use Telephoney dialing properties: Not Checked

    B. Server
    Dial-up Server Type: PPP:Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, ...
    Network Protocols: Only TCP/IP should be checked
    Enable software compression: Checked
    Enable PPP LCP entensions: Checked
    1. TCP/IP Settings
      Server assigned IP address: Checked
      Server assigned name server address: Checked
      Use IP header compression: Checked
      Use default gateway on remote network: Checked


    C. Script
    After dialing (login) [none]: Checked
    Before dialing [none]: Checked

    D. Security Accept any authentication including clear text: Checked

    E. X-25
    Don't change anything


III. Phone Number
    Enter the telephone number in the Phone Number Preview box.


IV. User and Login Preferences
    This is optional: You can tune your prefernces by sleecting the More button and modifying User and Login preferences.

You are now ready to Login. Click the "Dial" button to connect.
You will be prompted for the username and password. Enter your exit109 username and password. Leave the "Domain" field BLANK. If you enter anything in the Domain field, you will NOT be able to log in.
