Inspiration

Flashlight and HTML Canvas Programming

Flashlight imagery inspired by Lizi Boyd's book Flashlight and programming inspired by Arcade Fire's Just a Reflektor, a Google Chrome Experiment.

Programmable story unfolding.

Contemporary "hypertexts" such as Lunation by Jessica Gadd and In The Magician's House among other "choose your adventure" type stories by Deb Potter, allow the user to jump back and forth along the linearly laid out text to choose their way through such a fork. Indeed, Deb's looping and branching stories were what first made me think of programmable story layout.

Imagery and Animation

This work is based on Alicewinks, the 150th Anniversary Animated Edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. www.Alicewinks.com
