jejune

Yes. A jejune air regarding socks this week. I started one pair, observed how colors were working out and decided: Meh.

A second pair was cast on, but curiously, once the toes were worked, I realized I didn't much care for the new colorway either. Can sock yarn lose its savor?

I had nearly decided there was no more appeal in sock yarn for me, and what a sad realization that would have been...except! Yesterday's mail arrived and my sock-knittin' pal Chery had somehow perceived my jejune sock state and thoughtfully sent out this skein of Opal! Huzzah! Greenish with speckles--mint chocolate chip ice cream! Chery also sent some very cool tubes for holding crochet hooks--visible in the photo (along with a tuft of Cousin Bear).

Meanwhile, Della has taken up Interpretive Dance.
