Comments: Summertime — Day 4

Cardigan sure is looking good. Can't wait to see it all finished, and I can't wait to make mine.

Your cardi looks beautiful!

Is that a sky blue you are using for the background?

Have a nice day - hugs to those adorable pups!!

Thanks Lola! I'm eager to see your version with the beautiful handspun!

Janeen, thank you! It's a heathered gray background that looks kinda blue in the picture, doesn't it....and my pups send you thanks for the hugs. They love hugs! And they *are* adorable...who knew they could do the HokeyPokey?

Here's a little something for Mike and Jack. A buddy sent me this and it's SO apropo!

The following is from the Washington Post Style Invitational contest that asks readers to submit "instructions" for something (anything), but written in the style of a famous person. The winning entry was:

The Hokey Pokey (as written by W. Shakespeare)

O proud left foot, that ventures quick within.
Then soon upon a backward journey lithe.
Anon, once more the gesture, then begin:
Command sinistral pedestal to writhe.
Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Pokey,
A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl.
To spin! A wilde release from Heaven's yoke.
Blessed dervish! Surely thou canst go, girl.
The Hoke, the poke -- banish now thy doubt.
Verily, I say, 'tis what it's all about.
