Hey Lisa! The sweater looks Fab! I'd like to go to 'Camp' someday too...let's go together, ok?
Isn't it funny how we get connected to people we've never met? In the past several days I've found myself wondering what Wendy, Kathy, Amy, Kate and Jullian are up to.
Have a great Monday. I decided to stay home from work today...I way over did working out in our yard yesterday and ended up with a nasty sunburn...takin' the zip out of the old gurl today! Good day for reading, huh? :)
Posted by Teresa at June 30, 2003 09:08 AMHi Lisa, if you ever make it to one of Meg's camps, you've got to go just a bit further to see us!
I'm missing Wendy too....
Posted by Karen Berglund at June 30, 2003 09:08 AMOh Lisa, that cardigan's been on my HALFPINT list for a while and it is looking great in those colours. I tend to be a mostly balck & dark knitter as well.
Lisa, lookn' good! It's very exciting to get past the armholes and brace for the neckline...let us know how you like knitting the sleeves down, instead of separate and sewing on. Are you going to 3-needle bind off on the shoulders? Wendy is definately an addiction..miss her. I too would love to go to "camp"..who knows, maybe we would meet there some day :)..take care and stay cool
Posted by Robin at June 30, 2003 02:54 PMI miss Wendy, too. To make up for it, I went to the Smithsonian Folklife festival where Scotland is one of the regions covered. Three ladies, one knitting a shawl, the other knitting Fair Isles, and the last one knitting Sanquhar (?). You should have seen the lady knitting the shawl! So fast, she zipped across the row in about half minutes without looking down. I'll be putting up pictures on my blog soon.
Posted by Lola at June 30, 2003 04:05 PMYup, I miss Wendy too. When is she EVER coming back--it has seemed like forever. But the nice thing is I found your blog and have added it to my favorites list!
