I have to break down and order that pattern! Between you and Wendy, I have put so many patterns in my 'want' file... I have gotten loaded up on some of the choices, but MUST get Giant Latvian Mitten Cardigan. Happy Knitting!
Posted by Chery at July 16, 2003 07:20 AMI'm really enjoying watching this cardigan come along -- and that join is indeed quite impressive.
But how are you getting this giant thing done? Too hot to knit!
Posted by Anne at July 16, 2003 07:36 AMBeautiful! I want to knit it in the black and white that they show in the original pattern. You're using J&S yarn, right, not Satakieli?
Posted by CarolineF at July 16, 2003 08:10 AMI'm so looking forward to knitting mine. Once I get the spinning done, that is . . .
Posted by Lola at July 16, 2003 09:18 AMI'm another one who wants to make a Giant Latvian Mitten cardigan thanks to your wonderful photos Lisa. I think Schoolhouse Press should really appreciate all the business you're throwing their way. I can't wait to see the finished sweater.
Posted by Nanette Blanchard at July 16, 2003 01:48 PMi DO think that's knitting magic, the invisible pick-up-in-pattern. Amazing! But it takes a great knitter (and a patient one) to pull it off! :)
Posted by Rachael at July 16, 2003 07:33 PMI love checking on your progress with the Giant Latvian Mitten Cardi. You have me REALLY wanting to knit this one. You are so inspiring!
