I'm sorry to hear about your hard drive crash. I don't know what I would do if I had a big crash and had to wait to get things running again. The socks look great, even if they don't match. I have been lurking and watching the Giant Latvian Mitten Cardigan progress and I can't wait to see it finished!

Really am glad you are not sick or something terrible like that... just a sick computer. That can usually be fixed. Hope you can gather up your dissertation and reassemble it.

Nothing like knitting to soothe the soul. The socks are fine, sometimes I say "who cares" to the matching thing, then other times the Must match.

Oh, Lisa, I'm so glad you're back! What an awful day you must have had when you lost that drive. We missed you terribly, so the blog addiction goes both ways :-) The socks look like they match to me... at least well enough that nobody would be giving you strange looks about them!
