COCOA KISSES COOKIES

Ingredients:

1 C softened butter

2/3 C granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 C cocoa

1 2/3 C flour

1 C finely chopped walnuts or

1 9 oz package of Hershey kisses (about 54)

pecans

Confectioners' sugar, if desired

Directions:

Cream butter, granulated sugar and vanilla in large bowl; gradually beat in the flour and cocoa. Add the nuts; beat on low speed until well distributed. Chill. Meanwhile, unwrap the kisses. Shape a scant tablespoon of dough around each kiss, covering it completely. Roll each between your palms to form a ball: place a few inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees until set about 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly: With a wide spatula remove to wire racks. Cool Completely. Just before serving, dust with confectioners' sugar.
