KALE WITH POTATOES

Ok, now I have to give equal time to my heritage, here is a German
recipe that my mother taught me.
1 to 2 bunches of fresh kale
1 large onion, chopped
4 or 5 large potatoes, boiled
1/2 cup water
smoked meat(small ham hock, neckbones, sausage, etc.)
Wash kale and remove tough stem. Rinse kale and place in pot
with onion, smoked meat and water. Cover and let cook on low
heat for 1 to 2 hours, or you can cook this in a crock pot. Cook
potatoes in a seperate pot. When done serve potatoes with kale
and meat over it.
