6 large potatoes, cleaned and quarted (not peeled) 2 cloves garlic 3 tbsp butter 1 tsp salt
1/2 cup half-and-half
Place potatoes and garlic in a large pot of cold water, bring
to a boil, and cook for a total of 40 minutes, or until tender.
When potatoes are done, melt butter in a seperate saucepan, then
add salt and half-and-half. Warm on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
Drain potatoes and garlic, and mash together. Add butter, salt
and half-and-half, and continue mashing until smooth. If desired,
