PRINGLE'S COOKIES (holiday recipe)

Ingredients:

2 cups (1 pound) margarine or butter
1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups sifted all-purpose enriched flour
1 cup chopped nuts
Red & Green sugar for coating cookies
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup (about 2/3 can) crushed Pringle's Newfangled Potato Chips

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream margarine or butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Stir in crushed Pringle's and chopped nuts. Combine thoroughly.

Form into one-inch balls. Roll in either red, green or granulated sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with bottom of a glass dipped in the sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 14 to 16 minutes or until lightly browned on edges.
