4 tsp flour
1 C milk
1/2 C shortening
2 sticks butter
2 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla


Mix flour and milk in small saucepan and cook over medium heat stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Place mixture in a bowl and cool. Combine shortening, butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat for 5 minutes. Gradually add flour mixture and beat for 5 minutes (Remove skin from top of mixture). Add vanilla and beat an additional 5 minutes. Enough to frost 2 layer 9 inch cake.
